Historic Big Sur hotel restaurant destroyed in fire
Big Sur Fire responded to reports of a building fire at a hotel 100 years ago on Tuesday night.
According to the phone, the phone arrived at Lucia Lodge around 11:30 pm. Facebook post by Big Surfire.
Fire officials say they found flames on the roof of the hotel restaurant when they arrived. The crew was able to stop the spread of fire to the general store section, but most of the building was destroyed.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Lucia Lodge is 50 miles south of Carmel, 40 miles north of San Simeon, adjacent to Highway 1 in the village of Lucia, and 300 feet above the Pacific Ocean.
